Design and Technology encourages children to learn and think creatively, giving them the skills and abilities to be innovative and make creative use of a variety of resources.

At Widden Primary school our Design and Technology curriculum provides a progressive programme of study between year groups, making links with other areas of the curriculum wherever we can. Children will be taught the complete design process, exposing them to the specific stages of design. Children will be inspired by engineers, designers, chefs and architects, creating a range of structures, mechanisms, food products and textiles, gaining experience working with real equipment to produce relevant, useable products to solve a specific problem.
