Autumn Term 2023

PE

Bond Class PE days are Monday [outdoor] and Wednesday [indoor]

Milne Class PE days are Monday [outdoor] and Tuesday [outdoor]

Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit on these days [ grey or black shorts or leggings, white T shirt, trainers/ pumps, green jumper if it is cold].

Please could you also make sure your child has a named bottle at school everyday.

Could you also check that all your children's jumpers are named too, so that when they get lost they find their way back to the classroom much more quickly. Thank you.

Maths

In Maths we will be exploring Place Value and will use Dienes and Numicon to help us identify the ten and one in 2 digit numbers, which will support us when adding and subtracting. We will be learning and developing new strategies for solving addition and subtraction problems and will become more confident solving both 1 and 2 step word problems. We will also be learning about shape and will learn the correct mathematical vocabulary to describe the properties of both 2D and 3D shapes.
