Widden Street Soccer Football Club

Picture 1

We formed Widden Street Soccer Football Club to help children from our school and in those around us, get the chance to develop their football skills and experiences through high quality structured  coaching and competitive competition.

We have a team of well qualified FA coaches and offer programmes to train and mentor more community based coaches.

Currently we offer invitation only training sessions every Tuesday evening for between 20 and 30 boys aged from 8 to 11 from our school and from at least 3 other local schools in the local area and have one team in the Mid Gloucestershire Mini Soccer League.

The Club currently works with the Football Association in supporting its national Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Coach Mentoring programme within Gloucestershire. We are also an FA Charter Standard football club. This is an award to evidence our commitment in proving UEFA and F.A qualified football coaches, a safe and secure learning environment for children to enjoy their football and a commitment to continually strive towards excellence.
