In Year 6, we concluded our writing unit of A Monster Calls by completing our Independent Writes. The children produced some wonderful pieces of writing using many spooky phrases to capture the essence of the monster.
The children have been learning how to multiply and divide fractions during maths lessons and discussing VIPERS skills from our text Nevermoor in guided reading.
In PE, we had a mini basketball tournament, followed by some exciting cricket sessions led by our professional coach from Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.
One of the main highlights this week was our science investigation into refraction (pictured) where the children were using water in glasses to answer their key own scientific questions. Overall, it's been another busy week up in the huts.
