Welcome to Year 4!
Welcome to Year 4! We are so excited to work with you this year and are looking forward to all of the amazing learning that we will share together.
It’s set to be a fantastic term full of learning and fun!
We’ve got a busy and exciting term ahead in Year 4, with lots of learning and creativity.
Year 4 – Term 5
This term, we have another exciting term ahead in Year 4 for Bushby and Morpurgo class!
English
In English this term, the children will be using Arthur and the Golden Rope as their main text.
This story follows Arthur, a curious and determined young boy, as he sets off on a dangerous adventure to save his village from a giant monster.
Maths
In Maths, we will be looking at Decimals, Money and Time, where children will have plenty of opportunities to practise their fluency, solve problems and explain their reasoning clearly.
PE
Our PE days this term are Wednesday (Football) and Friday (OOA)
Please ensure your child comes to school wearing the correct PE kit on these days.
Science
In Science, we will be learning about Living Things and Their Habitats.
Art
In Art, we will be studying Picasso and exploring the style of art that he used called Cubism.
PSHE
In PSHE, our focus will be Relationships.
Geography
In Geography, we will be learning about Volcanoes and Earthquakes.
