Welcome to Year 4!

Welcome to Year 4! We are so excited to work with you this year and are looking forward to all of the amazing learning that we will share together.

This term, our curriculum is packed with exciting topics across all subjects. In English, we're diving into The Legend of Podkin One-Ear and A Place Called Perfect while learning to write reports and formal letters.

In Maths, we're exploring decimals, measurements, geometry, and preparing for the Year 4 Times Tables Check. Our creative side shines in Art through pottery inspired by Clarice Cliff, and in Music with songs like Blackbird. In PE, we're developing our skills in cricket, yoga, and basketball. Our PE days are now a Thursday and Friday afternoon. Science takes us inside the human body with a focus on digestion and food chains, and our Humanities lessons explore ancient Baghdad and modern-day Canada. We're also enhancing our digital skills through photo editing and game programming. It's a term full of growth, creativity, and fun!

P.E
Our PE days this term are Tuesday and Thursday. 

Children should arrive at school wearing their PE kit, which consists of black joggers or shorts, a plain white T-shirt, and a green school jumper. Please ensure they wear trainers suitable for physical activity.

In addition, please send your child to school every day with a water bottle and their reading book.
