COVID-19 HOME LEARNING INFORMATION
We hope you are looking after yourselves and keeping safe! In light of recent events, we have provided useful information below to assist your children with their learning at home. Please look at the Home Learning Page on this website which has all of the online links you will need to complete a vast array of curriculum projects.
All Year 4 children have been provided with a home learning pack. They will also have access to online resources on Purple Mash and Times Table Rockstars. Usernames and passwords are available inside the homework packs provided. In addition to the homework packs, all children are encouraged to read for at least 30 minutes each day, practice times tables and spellings. Please do not hesitate to contact school in order to get homework packs or to solve any password issues.

We hope you have had a fantastic half term break and are ready for a new and exciting term of learning in Year 4 at Widden Primary School! Your teachers in Year 4 are:
The teaching assistants in Year 4 are:
This term we are going to be studying the topic of Ancient Civilisations! Included in our topic will be many different historical skills. We will be learning about the history of Egypt and Baghdad, featuring daily life, diet and crucial events. We will also be continuing on our journey of mathematics and literacy as well as doing lots of other fun learning projects. In the mean time have a look at our topic web below and see all of the enthralling activities that we have planned over this new topic...
This term PE will take place both indoors (dance) and outdoors (invasion games). PE will take place throughout the week for all classes so PE kits need to be in school each day. Please ensure all children bring in a named PE kit with appropriate footwear. We are trying our best this year to make sure that children wear PE kit in our PE lessons, so we would greatly appreciate your support with this.
Homework will be handed out each Tuesday afternoon and we will be making the final collection of homework on the following Monday morning. Please help your child/children by encouraging them to complete and hand in their homework each week. On top of the weekly tasks that the children get set, please feel free to encourage your child/children to learn their times tables and to read as much as they can while they are not at school. If you have any questions regarding homework or spellings, please see a member of the team at the start of the week. Here are the Homework choices for last term so you can see the tasks children do:
